I love that the tartan incorporates the colours of the different nursing uniforms. It is modern looking but distinctly captures...us!
There's only one word for me which describes nurses - caring. The NHS wouldn't exist without us. Nurses are the true backbone of the NHS and we do an incredibly vast job, from the most basic to the most intricate care for each and every patient. At the end of the day, we are a team. It is a hard but fulfilling job with the welfare of every patient at the heart of what we do Let's celebrate out worth in 2021 - the worst of each and every nurse!

Julie Gowens, Nurse - NHS Scotland

Nurses are the bridge for patients between the scary and sometimes complicated medical things, the difficult conversations but also between the patient and their relatives. We are the middle men and women, the “jack of all trades”a lot of the time. We hold your hand, listen and your pillar of support emotionally and physically. Nurses are a family, whether in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland or Wales. Let’s celebrate our resilience, team work and adaptability. No matter what is thrown at us, we face it head on - together.

Louise Kibble, Nurse - NHS England

The Tartan is exciting and quite unique It certainly makes a statement and represents the NHS and it's values. The colour scheme is excellent and the tartan will become a popular option!
Nursing is not a profession for anyone who does not have a willingness to work hard in difficult situations. We're require to care for patients and their relatives at the most trying and stressful times. We face unique challenges and work in a pressured environment. Solidarity and being part of a team we know we can rely on is important and an essential element in our being nurses.
